The debutalbum from 1983 is recognized on all the killerfast tracks, that don´t give you any space to breath.
The only little break you get when you listen to this album is the instrumental "Anesthesia", which mostly consists of a great bass-solo from Cliff.
Metallica wasn´t a rich band at this time, and the budget was at 8000$! They name of the album is Cliff responsible for. At first they wanted to call it "Metal up your ass", but the distributors forced them to change the title. Cliff´s only comment on that was: -Kill´em all man, just Kill´em all!
